Overview

My two years at Neuroglee as an full-time UX/UI designer role in Singapore, were an incredibly meaningful experience.

I am particularly grateful to Michael, the design lead, for bringing me onto the team. His guidance allowed me the opportunity to collaborate with Caleb and Ruchika, both exceptional designers.

Neuroglee fostered a strong sense of community, and I am fortunate to have formed lasting friendships there.

Patient Tablet App | Care Partner Mobile App | Care Provider Management Web-app | Marketing Collaterals

Working as part of the Neuroglee team, I helped to significantly advance the company's strategic objectives.

We developed an application designed to provide patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) with dedicated cognitive care coaching and evidence-based cognitive care programs. The application featured personalized cognitive care plans, including cognitive stimulation exercises, brain health education, mind and body wellness activities, reminiscence therapy, and more.

To streamline the care process, we also developed a care partner application and a care provider web application. These platforms facilitated timely patient care and ensured regular updates on patients' cognitive health status.

This project presented unique UX challenges, as the required workflows were novel and lacked established precedents. Extensive research was conducted to develop suitable designs and solutions.

To ensure user satisfaction and efficiency, we tailored the product to meet the specific needs of each target audience. We successfully delivered a user-friendly and efficient platform that fulfilled these requirements.

In addition to digital projects, I designed and delivered a range of marketing collateral, including social media posts, flyers, brochures, posters, booklets, and event/workshop space designs, supporting company marketing campaigns.

What have I achieved?

The startup environment demanded quick thinking and rapid prototyping. I learned to iterate designs based on user feedback and data, constantly refining the experience to be more effective. Because we were dealing with cognitive health, even small design choices could have a big impact. I became very focused on clarity and ease of use, ensuring that our apps were intuitive and accessible to everyone.

We did a lot of research, digging into evidence-based programs and understanding how they could be translated into engaging digital experiences. I also got to work on complex workflows, designing interfaces for care partners and providers, making sure they could easily manage and track patient progress.

The biggest takeaway for me was the importance of understanding the user's emotional and cognitive needs. It was a rewarding experience to be part of a team that was making a real difference in people's lives, even if it was in a more subtle, but still impactful, way.
