I've greatly enjoyed my time at Verity Nature. It was a privilege to work with Justin, an inspiring and innovative leader. I'm particularly grateful for the opportunity to have collaborated with Justin on a freelance basis prior to joining Verity as a full-time team member.

Verity Mobile App | Admin Web-app | Marketing Collaterals | In-field Tablet App | In-field application for specialized devices

During my tenure, I initiated and co-led multiple projects that significantly contributed to the company's strategic objectives.

Notably, I played a key role in the development of the Verity mobile app, an innovative, sustainability-focused mobile application designed to empower individuals and communities in combating climate change.

This application incentivizes user participation through a points-based system, rewarding activities such as tree planting and protection, with points redeemable for the user’s M-PESA account credits.

To ensure optimal user experience, we conducted iterative user research, incorporating feedback to enhance usability and accessibility.

Furthermore, I initiated and led the development of an admin web application, a critical tool for company staff and partners to manage user data, their tree planting and tree protecting activities.

This project presented unique UX challenges, requiring the design and implementation of complex workflows to accommodate diverse user groups and edge cases. We successfully delivered a user-friendly and efficient platform that met these requirements.

In addition to digital projects, I designed and delivered a range of marketing collateral, including social media posts, business cards, flyers, brochures, posters, and booklets, supporting company marketing campaigns.

What have I achieved?

My experience here has been exceptionally valuable. I've gained significant knowledge from working on unique projects, engaging in diverse and enjoyable tasks, and having substantial design autonomy. I've benefited greatly from the expertise of my colleagues as well. Working alongside such talented individuals has been a true privilege.
